So i just read that the i5 2500k does not support wireless display. is there another solution for this? my PC is in my room and i want to be able to stream the video and audio to my tv in the living room for watching shows and other random stuff.

any help?

big i was using that link you provided earlier. when it lists out the compatible processors my 2500k is not on the list.

the link he posted is showing that WiDi is featured on laptops. The 2500K is not a laptop processor and all(?) socket 1155 boards do not provide the necessary wireless signal for WiDi

It appears that without WiDi you're out of luck. However, they make 50+ foot HDMI cables. 100 ft runs about $70, and about half that price for a 50 ft. If you need more than that, there is a company called Atlona that makes a 200 ft HDMI cable for about $250. Sure it may not be the prettiest way to connect to your TV, but it can be done. you could always run the cable through the wall if it really was an eyesore.

they have a wireless hdmi setup i saw at best buy. just a sender and receiver antenna box with hdmi ports. its 180 on newegg. im guessing this might be the cheapest solution? also, will my sound go through the hdmi port on my video card ?
