Yo whats up! I want to build a new rig, but first I need some suggestions. I have been out of the scene for almost a year now, and I know lots of things have changed in that short period of time. I just don't know whats good and whats bad anymore. Also, I am in the market for something other than just a rig, I need a decent monitor for a decent price too. I want to stay at $350 budget for the monitor, gpu, cpu, ram, mobo, and cooler. I already have a hard drive, case, and power supply. Just give me some suggestions, I am aware that black friday is coming up and hopefully there will be some nice deals. I like to play games like BF2, Skyrim with loads of mods (my g74sx can hardly handle it), Borderlands, Crysis. But most of all, I want it to top my g74sx in terms of performance. I don't know much about the new processors or graphics cards but I want to actually be able to WANT to be able to use my desktop rather than my laptop.

I could probably throw an extra $50 on top of the budget. But that's about it. I was hoping to get a bunch of used parts.

I highly recommend the 890 chipset. Great setup in that if the gpu goes out you can fall back on the onboard gpu.

Uh oh, I might need a better power supply if I want to run the 480. The little cx430 probably won't cut it, lol.
