i was originaly thinking of audioengine a2s and audioengine a5+ with a hefty powered sub woofer. I just keep hearing such mixed reviews on those audioengines. The other thing is i think i might want either 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. I game alot and watch movies often. That makes me think having the surround sound would add to the experience. Anyways I want to spend between 700-1000$. That doesn't include my sound card which i am thinking this will do the trick. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16829271005. Anyways i want something with a lot of power but while keeping very clear and crisp sound. If i really want something great am i going to have to build one from scratch or am i able to finds a package that is really good sound and power wise. I like my bass but would like to keep it low when need be. Also this will be used on my pc only but all my entertainment is through that anyways. What can i get. Is my budget to low. Can i get something that will knock pictures off the wall but still have that great clarity while watching movies. Also should i go 7.1 or 5.1. This is the laste thing to complete my entertainment needs. I don't need a dvd playe,r blueray or ipod doc. I have all that covered with the pc itself

I honestly love this cooler, but I think I'm gonna move on to another one soon, it just looks... A bit to bland compared to other flaming red (literally) coolers on the market.

The card you linked is PCI. If you are putting this in your sig rig then you'll need a PCIe version.

yea i see that now but i kind of leaned towards one the high end asus sound cards. Also sense i am a big game/ movie watcher would anyone suggest me getting the audionengine a2s with the audioengine a5+ coupled with a powered sub woofer or should i just get a good surround sound package. I can't seem to find anything with good highs, meds, and solid hard hitting bass.Originally Posted by d-block
