Socket mount is tricky with delidded IB and if mounts is not just right it will not boot. I went through similar problem when I first delidded I5-3570k with a bare die mount. I took off the stock back plate and intel socket mount to use a different back plate to mount the water block directly to the top of the die. I used Coolaboratory Liquid Pro which is very thin TIM.
At first it would not boot and then I took it apart and reapplied the CLP TIM and 2nd mount with gentle low pressure mounted it and I got a good mount and it booted.
Mount can be touchy and because of extreme cold of liquid nitrogen I think certain contact parts in the mount can be effected by the extreme cold temp which may interfere with mount contact pressure.
