Yeah, BF3 is already easy enough to pick up. I'm afraid of what that means for BF4. sad-smiley-002.gif

I was remotely optimistic before I re-read the transcript and found that.

I expect them to gut the vanilla game even more than they did with BF3 to make their DLC packs even more enticing. That'll be great. I love where gaming is going.

These, along with the fact it will probably be only on Origin, means I won't buy it, just like I didn't buy BF3.

So which is a rushed piece of garage? BF3 or BF4? A 2-year dev cycle doesn't work, and everyone knows it. Regardless of studio size, a half-way PROPER game takes 3+ years. Look at Crytek. Far Cry -> Crysis (March 2004 -> November 2007), and both were well made games - we got MASSIVE tech improvements between the two games. Crysis -> Crysis 2 (November 2007 -> March 2011), and we got CE3 onto consoles, as well as a ton of new engine improvements (Yes, the game play sucked). Meanwhile in CoD land...

Lasgana: bf4 will use 80% of power of frostbite 2, wheras bf3 only 30-40%
Right, so it was BF3 that was a rushed piece of garbage. And why are we STILL holding back on that last 20%? Hmm? Why not go all out, give it 110%?

A 2 year cycle won't work? 1942, Vietnam, 2, and 2142 all had around 2 years (well less).

Before that Codename Eagle to 1942 was 3 years but that was with Refraction being fused with DICE then restructured.
