The problem is the board, those NF200 chips and the latency they induce.

I think you're attributing too much of this to the NF200s. They aren't going to add so much latency that the rig scores the same as it does with one GPU. 4x GPUs with NF200s are still going to score higher than 3x GPUs.

Honestly, I'd write this off to drivers or power delivery. I'm pretty sure that's what it was for us.

EDIT: Oops... Mod powers let me respond when I wasn't supposed to redface.gif

NF200 is not a problem. My first Heaven submission was with a NF200. It's still the fastest trifire 7970 on the leaderboard. Since that submission, it's been raised to 187fps, beating out lots of x79 rigs. At worst it causes a small % drop but there's a lot on the table you know.

thanks yeah i over clocked to 3ghz ....nfs most wanted is either bug filled or is not optimzied at all . regardless before it was like 27 fps not its 45-60 fps some times even 80 fps -

depends on which area of the city i am in .

the thread was made for only 1 reason as why vantage / 3d mark 11 dont take in to account 4 gpu properly.

I wonder if the Crossfire bridge is the culprit.

take two cards out, tell us the results of crossfire tests

Rofl, no.

Do you think 3ghz cpu based on the last gen IPC can feed quadfire here? Really, c'mon man?

It's been proven on this very forum that when running 3-4 GPU's at extreme resolutions the Crossfire bridge bottlenecks the system as it doesn't supply ample bandwidth to allow the cards to communicate effectively.

And did you not read the part where he's gaming on 3x 2560x1600 monitors? That's 12.2 million pixels or 6x higher then 1080p, at that resolution the CPU's, even at stock should be fine as the GPU load is immense. But you already knew that right?
