Hi all,
Am having the intention to upgrade my memory. However, since tri channel memory are out of production the only rams that i could settle for are dual channel rams. the shop i went to has recommended that i buy 3 dual memory kit and end up with 24gb of g.skill rams.
However after i did some search online i cant find much things about using dual channel memory in tri channel board. So hopefully someone can help me with it.
Current memory is running 3 x 2Gbs GEIL PC-12800 Ram.
Scenario 1: Replace all the ram with 6 x G.Skill memory .
Scenario 2: Use 3 G.skill memory and run parallel with my existing memory (Unsure about the compatibility)
Would be glad if anyone could give me some advice.
Cheers,
