[CL] Corsair Announces New Hydro Series H100i and H80i Flagship Liquid CPU Coolers

Corsair, the leading supplier of high-performance liquid CPU coolers for PC enthusiasts, today announced the Hydro Series H100i and H80i liquid CPU coolers, a ground-up re-design of the world’s most popular, proven, and award-winning liquid CPU coolers, the H100 and H80. The new H100i and H80i models have been enhanced to deliver improved cooling, quieter operation, simpler installation, and Corsair Link digital control.

Better Cooling, Lower Noise
To improve cooling performance over previous generations, the Hydro Series H100i and H80i coolers use new, more efficient copper cold plates, improved manifolds, optimized fan designs, and larger diameter tubing for increased coolant flow. Corsair’s new flagship liquid CPU cooler, the Hydro Series H100i, utilizes a 240mm radiator for increased surface area and cooling capacity. The Hydro Series H80i uses a double-thick 120mm radiator and two fans in a ‘push-pull’ arrangement and is compatible with most enthusiast cases with a 120mm rear exhaust fan.

I'll be sticking with my D14... though might bite on the next iteration. Seems these CLC systems are constantly getting better smile.gif

So the 80 having a double thickness rad, does that mean it will be as good as having the 100 or is the longer rad better? Also, nothing to do with performance but does the corsair logo light up? Thanks

It looks good, and hopefully a bit less troublesome than the original H100, but i'm still glad I bought my Raystorm EX 240 kit with the D5 pump.

That said, good luck to Corsair.. The unit looks like a definite improvement!

Nice, might ask for one for Christmas

EDIT: H100 for sale, brand new, coming in from RMA! biggrin.gif

I would imagine that there will be the same performance difference between the H80i / H100i as in the previous generation, which If memory serves, is about 3 - 5c, with the H100 performing slightly better.
No idea if the corsair logo will light up but as it does on my H80, I would think they'd carry that feature forward.
