Surprised how many people are jumping on these without proper review information yet. I can't imagine they are much different than their predecessors.

We all are or were under the assumption the pump mechanism had been re-worked, from a clean sheet.

I know George is watching, let us know your thoughts George!

I called NCIX and they said they weren't expecting their shipment for the H80i until next Thursday. Why the delay when they already have the H100i CorsairGeorge?

maybe its the same idea of GPU releases, i.e. from top to bottom. (H100i, then H80i, etc)

can't wait for reviews and comparisons.

Just differing order times and shipment times. We prioritized H60, then H100i, and then H80i, which all come out of the same factory.

As for the pump/impeller mechanism, this is the quietest pump unit on the market, by far. I saw the youtube video from that one guy, and we're getting that unit back for eval, but after what happened earlier this year we went back to the drawing board and fully re-designed the internals - the entire bearing/shaft/motor/impeller area is redesigned and quieter than anything else we've tested in all orientations we've tested it.

I don't expect you to believe me because I work for Corsair, but you should see reviews in a week or two to prove that.

Would you mind elaborating on the vibration from the pump, please? I know some units might have that grinding noise, some might end up with other issues, but in a perfectly operating unit, is there still going to be a lot of fast strong vibration from the pump resonating through the motherboard and the radiator? I had that issue with a couple of Asetek coolers, and having turned down all the fans in my case to low, I could hear very noticeable (and irritating) hum due to this high-frequency strong vibration. I'm interested in whether this has been addressed for the new H100i /H80i - better dampening mechanism or something of the sort to reduce this hum/vibration.

Which brings up a good point. Why didn't reviewers receive these parts before shipping to consumers?

No one should be nervous about this, in all probability the same 0.1% (1 in 1,000) will be faulty units just like last time. Unless this is a 1st-batch issue.

Not in this thread perhaps, but most H100 owners are not even aware a pump grinding-noise-issue has ever even existed. I've talked to them in other forums and they have no idea this ever occurred. But please everyone installing new units this weekend and the coming days let us know your results. Will post mine with install pics and thermals Wed or Thurs next week.
