[CL] Corsair Announces New Hydro Series H100i and H80i Flagship Liquid CPU Coolers - Page 21

I am wondering how big the coolblock is this time.

Anyone has an idea on how high it is? (got the H100 and H80 on my GPU's and I could use some extra free space underneath them)

I'm looking forward for this advancement. I've always loved their products.
I intend to purchase the H100i. I hope have a great difference in performance than the H60.

im super interested in the "magnetic" method of fastening the pump to mobo. Anyone have any pics/vid of this. That alone is a huge advancement imo. Also I cant find a single vid on utube for these new clc, perhaps my settings but anyways could someone post a link. thumb.gif

I'm not sure what Corsair means by magnetic but it sure looks like screws to me:

I think it just means the back plate is magnetic so you dont have to hold the backside if you're mounting it with the motherboard in the case (with a socket cutout in the case).

or the mounting bracket that goes on top of the pump is magnetically attached. You still need screws to apply the pressure to the CPU.

That's what I was figuring as well. I know all too well how much of a pain it is to hold the backplate while trying to install the cooler.

I've had no issues with my H100, and will most likely get a H100i along with Haswell when it comes out, which should offer around a 20-25% increase in performance over Sandy Bridge.
