Count me among the stricken. Got my replacement H100i a week ago. Set it up. Seems to be working well, aside from having a snit-fit if just about anything else uses USB 2.0 (thankfully I have penty of 3.0 for my devices.)

And now... the red LED is misbehaving. It comes on for about one second then dies. It will come on if I mix it with blue, to make purple. But if I dial down the blue too far, red konks out again.

For realz??? And guess what--red is the color I really care about! My theme is black and red. Grrrr. From what I've seen here--what one earth must this product's LED failure rate be????

What settings are you using for the light color control? Are you setting it to a solid color or setting a temperature dependence? If you're changing between multiple colors, the mixing will not always result in the colors you want, and depending on what temperature your H100i is measuring and where, and how you set your temperature range, your colors can shift quickly.

I personally own the H100i, got this one as an RMA after my previous one bricked from the bad firmware update. Any questions about this unit throw them this way.

I had it set to cycle between red and white and it was working for about a week. Then, it just went blue-green (white minus red.) Since then I've tested it in both cycling and normal modes. The red simply doesn't work, save when combined with blue to make purple, and only when blue is set above about 70%. This isn't about getting just the right color, though. It's about the red LED failing entirely, save for the odd purple instance.

Update: the red LED now seems to have failed completely, even in combination with blue. Lovely.

I hate to say it, but the LED failure seems to be a very common problem. Hopefully there's an H100i V2 coming soon that fixes that issue. In the meantime it looks like you'll have to RMA it.

Yes, it does seem to be an all-too-common problem. too bad, too, as it is one excellent cooler and (when it works) the LED logo looks awesome.

I am already researching other brands of coolers....

What happens if the H100i accidentally leaks into the components? Will Corsair cover it?

I've heard of cases where they have and cases where they haven't. I'm sure if you complained loud enough, they could work out something with you in the event of that happening. Still, if you're worried about it, it's best to just avoid liquid cooling altogether. You want the cooling performance, you have to deal with the potential risk.

Current policy is to get the unit and all the suspected failed parts sent back, and if the unit leaked and indeed killed the GPU or some other component, to replace those parts or offer fair compensation for them to the customer.
