K8V MX, dual channel or no?

Ok, so I built my parents a computer a year or so ago, and it's got this motherboard:

http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...54&modelmenu=1

I can't figure out if it supports dual channel memory or not, I have 2x512mb g.skill in it right now ddr400 2-3-3-6 1t. I just noticed it now because I'm here bored.. with nothing better to do but optimize the computer some.

I'm looking into updating the bios right now, but just wanted to know if anybody had dealt with this particular motherboard and knows if it supports dual channel or not.

Well from what i can see No its not a Dual channel Motherboard. Also you can generally tell when the slots are colour coded.

No Dual Channel Support for 754 boards.

'cept for nForce boards (I think).

This one looks to be non-dual channel. I have a friend that has a Socket A Via board that supports dual channel ddr, so I thought automatically that it would support it. Although I guess he got one of the last socket A boards made. I've seen this board advertised as supporting dual channel, the manual has some memory listed as running in dual (but it also lists it having blue and black slots for dual. The board only has two slots).

Yep. I learned that when I was messing around w/ my P3 trying to decided on whether to get a Socket 939 system or Socket 754.

Nope, that doesn't support Dual Channel. 754 boards don't support dual channel, they boards themselves do but theres no Dual Channel support in 754 CPU's. Cept for Venice chips.
