I would hold out for a 680 on a Black Friday Special

this will be plenty and you can always grab another one next year used on the cheap

Why pay so much. Get a GTX 670 card and overclock it. at the same clocks you are looking at 5% performance loss compared to GTX 680. The EVGA GTX 670 FTW, Gigabyte GTX 670 , MSI GTX 670 PE are all good cards . the EVGA GTX 670 FTW has been shown by ocn users to have some of the best overclocks. all cost 390 - 400 bucks.

I don't like to and am to lazy to overclock things

right now im runnin a GTX 560 (01G-P3-1460-KR)

which only has ~300 cores
runs at stock 810MHz

so if the difference between the cards is ~200 cores then i bet i could see the difference.

the only way I would see a real performance increase would be to get tri sli with the 670, which i guess i could do but would that run in stand.....no no no.

the 680 will do me fine, sli 2 680's and its like having a 690

and you can quad sli the 680 so...well ill need to get a bigger power supply....and mobo...and case.....

but i think just 2 way sli will do me fine

Worth mentioning, GTX 600 series cards are a whole different level of easy to OC- no comparison to CPU or past GPU overclocks. If you work within the standard settings in any given OC tool, your chances of damage are extremely small. Anymore, the real risk only begins when you get into BIOS customization, overvolting beyond maximum spec, and other more invasive mods.

Since we design our cards for max OC potential, we all view overclocking as part of standard expected use. We would never deny someone an RMA just because their card failed during an overclock. If you crank up the clocks without any other modding and your card fails in a permanent way, it's the card's fault the way I see it. If you've made risky changes via custom BIOS or soldered on an OC panel or something that's a different story, but for the regular overclocking for fun and profit there's really not much risk involved, just free performance.

Not trying to say you should OC if you don't want to but if risk of permanent damage is your main concern I just wanted to put that to rest, at least speaking for our own products.

I went a got the 660Ti FTW+

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130817

It was on sale and the -200 cores from the 670 cant make to much of a diffrence considering I bought 2 to sli them and picked up 2 more of the same lcd's i have and im going to run surround

I bought mirrors edge because I heard its amazing on sorround.

i just hope the card is a full HDMI onsted of a mini hdmi like my 560
