New Corsair Hydro H80i and H100i - Page 13

H80i and H100i are now available at Newegg. Has anyone played around with the led settings? I'm interested to know what it looks like.

Edit: Reviews so far arn't so good for the h100i. I need more feedback for the h80i though.

Would be nice if someone could post some temps.
I am using a 3570k with Hyper 212 evo @ 4.2.
With Cm excaliburs as push/pull. My temps are not bad but i want better.
I live in South Africa and the temps get hot here in summer.
I am not sure going WC would make that much of a difference.

Welcome to OCN! thumb.gif

I live in Arizona, I'd guess in similar conditions to you, my sig rig on the H100 (not i) runs in the low 30's at idle and maxes out while folding (100% on all cores for days on end) in the mid to high 50's. The H100i should do just as well, but with less noise.

Who says you cant polish a turd. I managed to get my lapped AMD Phenom 840 to run at 4.2ghz STABLE with the H100i.
CPUID Hardware Monitor shows the following under full load (Prime95)

CPUTIN: 55 C
Core 0-3: 32 C

Seems to me that temps have to be a bit off as idle shows these things at 5 C less than ambient room temperature. Either way, these numbers are WAY less than what I was getting with a Scythe Shuriken and a 3.8ghz clock.

Cinebench 11.5 CPU: 4.53

CPU Vcore is at 1.60 v

The only issue i have found about the H100i is the fans there very loud rather than that, the new tubing is excellent I find compared to the older gen. Corsair CrossLink is cool i like the lighting on the block.

Call me crazy, but isn't the whole point of the new fans to lower the noise level from the previous stock fans?

Right now the temp changing mode will cycle between 3 colors, and you set the temps for each.  Like this:

700

The only issue is that you are forced to use either the loop temp (what I am currently using) that only fluctuates a little and very slowly, or the socket temp (which is being reported entirely wrong here).  I set mine up after letting the pc idle for a while to get the lowest loop temp, then ran Prime 95 for 20min or so to get close to the max temp. Set the middle temp halfway inbetween. So far it works well, but I would rather it reflect my socket temp versus my loop temp.

The software takes a little getting used to, and I have had some issues with it crashing/going unresponsive but that may have been from an unstable OC I was using. Hopefully the update that Corsair has promised us will fix some of these issues.

Once you set the settings on a profile, you can save them and close Corsair Link. I leave it running just because I want to see how the fans are ramping up and such at times, but it will always revert to your saved settings if you close it.

Im using the temperature based LED color cycling based on the loop temp too. I really like how it presents instant feedback on temps. The transitions are subtle as indicated by the gradient in Stevoandaredk5's screen grab. When I fire up Prime 95 the color changes smoothly from white to orange, and then red if things get too hot. Its a ****in awesome feature.

I have 4 SilverStone FM121's push/pull they are loud at 2300rpm, I wish they made silent 120mm fans that can push 110cfm....Thankfully I have a good headset
