I also read some comments regarding slow units where the only choice is to request for a replacement.
That wasn't a rhetorical question btw.

I have also read a lot of comments about the slowness of the ipad.

I do not go around singing the song cause I haven't used one.

Any computer can slow down when overloaded. The ipad is just not doing anything more often.

But then it still provides the better experience for the most right? Or is android web browsing lag only really happens when you have something open (multitasking) and people just don't know how to close back ground stuff?

I keep hearing iOS doesn't have true multitasking so is that the reason why their browsing is much smoother?

That wasn't a rhetorical question btw.

Every company has their bad days. Apple had theirs with the iPhone 5, Google had some bad shipments of Nexus 7's. It happens.

Having used my Nexus 7 for a few months now, and having tried my grandma's iPad... I can honestly say the Nexus 7 feels much better.

As steelbom might recall from our last argument over the iPad, I find tablets of that size too heavy to hold with not enough bezel to get a good grip. I also found the aluminum to be a poor choice of material to use on the back simply because it was too smooth, and thus was slippery.

Between the ruberized back and, well, being smaller, the Nexus 7 is just easier to hold. See steelbom? easy! (Click to show)
Smudgy. I really should clean it.

Anyway! Just about my entire (extended) family ended up feeling the same way holding each. Therefore, I predict at least a few iPad mini sales this coming holiday season. It's the time of saving $$$ for Xmas, and steelbom is probably right. Sales for everyone will pick up in Q4, but I'm thinking more for apple.

Posting this for those that believed that the Nexus 7, Note 10.1, Transformer Prime, and other Android high performing tablets weren't going to work. For those that swear Android users are "cheap" and don't buy into expensive tablets. rolleyes.gif

Also proves that those who complain about Apple pricing are absolute hypocrites. rolleyes.gif

Two sides to every coin, good sir.

Thanks KyadCK.

I am really tempted with it especially that it can be used as a good GPS with Co Pilot (offline GPS)[ I hear ]

.. But I feel like 3 months old is already "old".. might as well wait for their next offering.. and maybe the prices for the Nex 7 might go lower too by that time xD

Also interested in a warranty service lol.

No it's not the reason. iOS is just smoother overall. It's been built from the ground up that way.

The 9.7 inch iPad has a substantial amount of bezel for you to grip. The iPad mini is very easy to hold as well.

Slightly correct, the iPad eventually slows down due to long usage/power times if it wasn't rebooted. Although yes, the iPad does browse smoother, that is probably because Apple has refined the OS to that extent, apart from having only a handful of devices running the same exact hardware or nearly the same, instead of Android's multitude of different hardware specs. As for Android, if you really want "Smooth" browsing, You can get Opera Mini, browsing, scrolling and zooming are all smooth in that app.
