So I am getting into ameteur ice hockey and thought an interesting project would be to scrape data from the four or five websites for the local ice rinks, collect the times for when the general public can skate. Then I want to create a website with a calendar that is a collection of public times from all of the different rinks.
So I want to get a book to help me with this but couldn't figure out what area of computer science this would be. I thought it would be data mining but it turns out that is about finding links/commonalities between very large sets of data.
So what should I be googling so to speak.
