Yes, what I said was that on the CPU side of things, the Intel will go a lot longer and still be considered "fast" or "usable". It will have more "speed longevity" so to speak. On the GPU side of things, the APU's graphics absolutely hammer 4000 into the dirt, that's for sure. But HD4000 isn't bad either for light duty stuff like TF2.

Oh for sure. My cousin has a HD1000 on his G530 and he can play TF2, CS:S, CS:GO and LoL without issue on his 1600 x 900 Hanns.G. Granted it's not ideal and he can't play games like BF3, L4D2, ect it would work. I'd still go for an A8 + Hybrid graphics over an i5 w/ a HD4000 anyday

I just built a A8-5600K rig for a friend of mine and the APU absolutely destroys my cousins G530 int. graphics and it cost about the same amount to build. I'm convinced that the A8-5600K could play L4D2 w/ higher settings @ 1920 x 1080 no problem.
