I have a Perc 6 with 5x2TB in RAID 6. Whenever I turn off the PC and leave it unplugged for a while, my array shows as "not initialized" in Windows disk management. This is the second time it happened. The first time there was nothing on the array yet. I had done a firmware update on the drives, so I thought maybe that caused it and just initialized the array again. This time I filled it up half way. The VD shows as optimal, with all disks online, in LSI storage manager. Every time I do a consistency check, it shows inconsistency in "vd 0, strip 0", says it fixed it, but shows again next check. I am running Windows 7 x64 atm, but the array doesn't show up using a Live CD either. Should I just do a fast init, then rebuild the partition table? What could be causing this? I have a good battery on the card with caching enabled btw. The card is running the latest FW also. Maybe I should try another firmware, idk. I can't seem to find anyone with this same problem, so I joined and posted here. Thank you for your time. Pete.
