Okay so I got a computer here that was acting strange so after some trouble shooting ended up running memtest 4.0a on this system. They both use DDR RAM. The original board is:
Asus P4P800-VM (With a Celeron D)
HIS Radeon 9250 AGP
I've tried all 4 RAM slots all occupied plus 1 a piece with 8 different RAM sticks and I ALWAYS get between 282-288 errors. I figured it was the memory controller so I swapped it out with a newer board: Asus P4SD-LA (With a Pentium 4) I needed to use the same chipset with AGP because the install is proprietary and I can't reinstall it on a newer system. I used 8 different RAM sticks with both slots filled or just 1 and it also gets between 282-288 errors every time. Some of the RAM sticks are brand new out of the box. I tried a different power supply, CD drive, memtest disc all with the same results. It just seems to consistent for both memory controllers to be bad, anyone have any ideas?
