Can't decide on upgrade!!!

Thread Starter
I'm stuck! I can't figure out what to upgrade in my system...

Not sure if I should go with the new Vishera 8350 over my 6100...
Or jump to a 660 ti or 670 over my 470...

The 6100 handles everything I do... but the 8350 can hit 5ghz stable

The 470 is slowly going to be too weak for gaming...

Obviously I should upgrade the graphics card, but cost ratio is what's killing me.
I don't want to shave off $100 and get the 660 ti, then in a year be underpowered for new games ( like I am with the 470)
The 8350 is only $220
660 ti $300
670 $400

OR possibly find another 470 for SLI? I saw one on amazon for $180.

I'll say stick with your 6100 for now, and go with a gtx 670... you get physx, and it's better than the 7950 at most intensive games like Bf3, Batman arkham city, metro 2033.... stuff like that (WAYYY BETTER), plus Nvidia to me is the most stable way to go for now, hehe....

here is proof... http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/550?vs=598

I don't know where some people get their freaking beches from... Like forealz?.. the 7950 is better than 670?... pshhh... "not calling names" rolleyes.gif .. haha

Edit: you can find a 670 online for 369$ or so after rebate, but 389$ before rebate thumb.gif...http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130787

Yea I would go for the 670, you get physx and it handles games like bf3 easily. 670s are pretty good overclockers aswell so u can just overclock to get 680 performance. When deciding between an nvidia or ati card it depends on what games you play.

As you post benches from anandtech rolleyes.gif

Truth is ever since 12.11 AMD has been a better choice all around, especially at max overclocks. thumb.gif

My vote goes for the 7950 as well. 3 gig v-ram and 384 bit bus smile.gif

28fps, and 29fps.... ermm...... -__-" 1 fps? rolleyes.gif..... Oh well, nothing drivers cannot solve right?, and he is still going to get physx if he goes green smile.gif... I am not a fanboy or anything like that trust me.. It all depends on the type of games he will play, if he likes 3d or not, if he likes multiple screens or not.... There is a lot of thinking to do, and not just to jump on what is getting more fps than the other ATM<<br />
I personally like playing in 3d, and physx brings games to life for me. On the long run, i think there is a lot of things the physx engine can bring to games. That's why i go GREEN! biggrin.gif.... but oh well... like i said before, it all depends on what games he plays. smile.gif
