I don't think I'd need more than 2-3GB. Also, isn't XFX more highly regarded than Sapphire/HIS?

imo sapphire is top dog when it comes to AMD cards. xfx is second though but their DD cooler seems to be worse than stock in some cases....

On the GTX 670 vs HD 7970

In my own opinion, Based off of weeks of research, reading reviews, Looking at endless benchmarks, and about to be a 7970 owner myself. I can 100percent tell you to go with the 7970 if the other choice is a 670. If you are deciding between a 680 and 7970 then its a toss up. Do like someone told me to do and flip a coin.

But if I were you, getting an SSD would make me happy for a long long time. If you won't get an SSD, replace the green drive, it's not to be used as a boot drive. I believe it's slower than the other versions.

If you have a lot of money, definitely upgrade the GPU and get an SSD. The i5 is great, you won't have to replace it for a while.

with most current drivers but good luck with that since AMD released a decent update thats currently in beta that seems to give 7% around increase on stock. And lord knows how much more with the higher percentage overclock to boot over the Nvidias locked down GTX600 series.

What he said.
If you do anything other than play games an ssd will give you if not a more powerful system the feel of more power. In non gaming use. My POS laptop with a single core amd boots faster with an ssd than my I7 with a wd black. By far. I thought I heard/read somewhere that intel ssd's had os migration software? probably wrong just saying.
The 7950 seems to be the bang for the buck champion right now, but if you stayed with the green team you could keep the 560ti for physx. Possibly. don't really know anything about it.
