Looking for a basic cheap desktop computer for an old lady!

All she does pretty much is browse the internet, skype.... and prolly thats it. What do old people do with a computer lol... just basics. She might use Microsoft office on it too though... maybe.

She is like... broke... so she needs a really cheap desktop. She needs something that would last her a few years hopefully. Her price range is ideally under $400. She needs a whole system though... monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers.

She has like 0GB of data, so harddrive size is not important. A cd burner would be a good thing to have though, a dvd burner a plus. Video card is not needed.

She has been using a laptop that is so ancient, but I think a new laptop for such low price wont last as long as a desktop for the same price... desktop should have more performance I'd assume.

Do you guys know any systems for sale in the $400 price range that would be the most bang for the buck?

Scour the Dell outlet. They frequently have 25% off coupons. I've seen Inspiron AIO touchscreens in your budget several times.

Grab a refurbished system off Newegg. They have some killer deals. I have sold dozens of them to clients.

I'm typically bad with putting together budget systems but this is what I put together

Yes that's a SSD in there, I couldn't help myself, I think it would be a real treat for her to have an SSD and it would seem like the fastest PC she has ever owned :3
