Any reason I should get the GS3 over the Note 2?

Thread Starter
I have to say, I've played with the Note 2 a few times, and I really like the size. I was wondering if there is any reason (besides some people don't like the size) that I should choose and S3 over the Note 2? Are there any good reviews comparing the two or are they mostly pretty much the same besides the size of the screen and the stylus? Are there any other phones that might be superior to the Note 2 that will be coming out before the end of the year? My contract is over mid November but I am willing to wait until the end of the year if something good is supposed to come out (or if there is a good black friday deal).

I do want to note that I really do like the screen size so chances are I will choose a phablet as my next phone.

Thanks for any input everyone!

I'd say the note 2 is better in most ways. The S3 will probably have more support with aftermarket ROMs because its a more widespread device. That's one advantage of the S3.

I like my note. I still get comments about the size when so embody sees it for the first time. And I say "that's what she said....." lol never gets old

The Note 2 is better than the Galaxy S3 is every way (if you count a larger screen as a plus). However, the LG Optimus G has more powerful hardware inside so you could look into that, it is smaller than the Note 2 though.

Doesn't it have a locked boot loader?

Note2. I had a S3, really liked it, but couldn't pass up the money/trade I got from it. Currently using a note1, but REALLY want a note2.

I'm not sure, it will still perform better though.

If you have the money, always go with the Note 2. It's got a better processor, better screen, much more durable battery and more software options.

My dad just got a Note II I've played with it for a bit. I have to say the best android phone on the market so if you can get a Note II get that.

Note II. It has better screen then GS3 since its not Pentile. Also if you like the size its a no brainer but its more productive thanks to the size and stylus.

Agreed.

Plus if you buy a Note 2, you wont ever need a tablet. It has the functionality of both a tablet and a phone.

And it doesn't look awkward if you're making a call either. It actually looks like a boss of a phone.
