Dual Channel memory controller (on motherboard) BUT which memory kit to buy?

Hi all.

Will be buying a ASRock Z77 extreme 4 and now I just need a little advice on what memory kit to buy.

Is there any real performance / problems running 4 sticks (all memory banks populated) compared to have only 2 of the 4 banks populated?

Want to buy DDR3 1866 1.5V (total 16 GB) but am stuck in getting a kit with 4 or 2 sticks of memory.

Will it affect the XMP memory profile loaded with the board?

Your advice is much appreciated.

You shouldn't have any problems running 4 sticks at DDR3-1866 unless you're planning to use a low-end Sandy/Ivy Bridge CPU which are known for having crippled IMC.
Gains from running 4 sticks instead of 2? Apart from double capacity - nothing that you will ever notice.
