You must understand Nvidia and AMD just do not do products for the sake of this community only...
Oh... come on Nvidia .... lower GTX 680 prices to $249 just because onthemour and Bruennis overclocked their $300 cards to their max and their 7950s are faster once pushed to the limits.
You must know a lot of people don't overclock. Myself I prefer to not overclock my GPUs. I prefer to get a decent performance at stock and then overclocking is something extra for free when the card can't push the framerates I need

A 7950 is about $70 less than the 670 for 10% less performance which is about the same performance gap that separates the 670 from the 680 and most like yourself would call the 680 a bad buy. For those that care about overclocking, the 7950 is voltage-unlocked therefore can be overclocked much more aggressively vastly improving performance beyond even an overclocked 670. Catalyst 12.11 beta pushes that performance gap even further than before.
Stop living in pre-12.7 beta time period and stop protecting your purchase
I prefer to own an Nvidia GPU because my monitor support 3D Vision and I like Nvidia Inspector. And GTX 670 is currently the best price/ performance ratio on the green side. Not to mention it was cheaper than either the 7950/ 7970 or GTX 680 at the time of purchase.
And I am not protecting my purchase... Neither I am biased towards Nvidia if you track my posts you will see I always recommend the 7950 now as it is the best price/ performance card.
