The Asus VG278H works with PS3 in 3D mode over the HDMI interface, it uses the 3D Vision glasses.
The difference between HDMI 1.4 and HDMI 1.4a isn't that big and as far as 3D on the PS3 is concerned there it doesn't matter which version is supported.
The 3D Lightboost technology also works when using the monitor over the HDMI interface.
