Skype is overrated imo. Feels bloated & slow.

WLM used to be awesome when it was called msn. I wonder if people these days know what msn means?

I loved MSN too, which is why I still use WLM. I don't like Skype and I absolutely hate the new Chinese version of Skype, the constant pop up adverts drive me crazy. Then there're the flash adverts and they really pop up at the wrong moments, so I click on them and they then crash Skype. Well done to MS for ruining Skype.

Fortunately there's AMSN, if it remains usable and there will be other tools other than Skype (speaking of which I need to go look for a few).

Good move, the less software you install in W8 the more clean it will look..

I don't use and probably will never use Skype again.. The Gtalk client does it for me..

I'm not using Skype again. I'm in the process of deleting my accounts. This is mainly because Microsoft sold Skype user's private information to a private company without user's permission and without any regard to laws or user rights.

I refuse to use FB chat. I also have fondish memories of Messenger before it became a spam, spam, spam, beans and spam festival.
I have been on Skype for a long time. My one complaint is lack of spell chacker. Get that and you get my vote for app of the decade.

I'm assuming that was intentional? If so, I just pissed myself for no reason!

Also Skype for Windows Store should have spell checking as AFAIK all new text controls in Store Apps have spell checking functionality.
