I'd love to have a way to make my own mandrel-bent exhaust tubing, as I've gone through so many exhausts on my 328Ci it's not even funny! In fact, I can't think of one that I HAVEN'T owned, but none are "exactly right" in my eyes; so currently I have a "true dual" setup (one exhaust pipe per 3 cylinders) which works a lot better with the ESS TSE2 (modified) Lysholm Supercharger than the original 2-1-2 setup due to the increased scavenging and it consists of: SuperSprint Equal-Length Tubular Headers (coated by SwainTech) feeding SuperSprint "Race" test pipes (no cat's), then Akrapovic Full-Titanium Mid-Pipes, a pair of Rogue Engineering silencers (only a 0.018% reduction in flow for a 56% reduction in sound, making the car street-able) and a UUC/Corsa Twin-Silencer System 3 dual-muffler at the rear. I'm tired of hacking up expensive exhaust systems!
Plus, I'd finally be able to get my intake running exactly how I want it, instead of having to rely on the pre-made Dinan Carbon-Fiber Long-Neck CAI's length; it doesn't allow me to feed directly from the bumper, but rather just ~2" too high otherwise I hit my intercooler piping. Speaking of which, the ability to make my own intercooler piping would be amazing... Could easily cut the OAL by ~33% which increases throttle response when on-boost quite a bit (although on a car that was not only converted to individual throttle bodies, it was converted to "horn type" bored throttle bodies with an ExtrudeHoned intake manifold, mated with a supercharger that makes peak boost [14.5psi over ambient on 93oct pump] from 1350rpm to 8250rpm, not to mention the carbon-fiber driveshaft/65% Underdriven&72%lighter pulleys/UUC Stg2 Dual-Mass Ultra-Light Clutch+Flywheel Kit @ 24lbs combined from stock 54.5lbs/OS Giken Many-Clutch custom-made 3.45:1 Limited-Slip Differential(race) or Quaife 3.23:1 custom many-clutch LSD(street)/J-Line 5LR2 18x9.5"F 18x11.5"R 2pc Forged Wheels [one of my sets of race wheels; 17.3lbs/ea front and 18.9lbs/ea rear]/Brembo Monobloc Big Brake Kit w 6-Piston Monobloc Calipers + 380mm 2pc Slotted Floating Rotors front & 4-Piston Monobloc Calipers + 364mm 2pc Slotted Floating Rotors rear/6spd MT from '06 330Ci ZHP that was disassembled, blueprinted, cryo-treated/shot-peened/lightened, and so much more.... I'm not so sure I NEED more throttle response!)

Blah, sorry, when I talk about my cars I can go on for hours wink.gif

I've been thinking about how to make my build "stand out" more, as when I started it a year ago, the Black & White was fairly original, but now so many people are doing it... I have had a few ideas, though:
- Make new front and top panels entirely out of brushed aluminum with HexxMesh for the fans (basically what you did), although I don't know that I have the skill
- Build my OWN pedestal, something fairly simple but also modular i.e. the case can sit on top of it and it looks like it belongs, but it could also be detached and stand on its own as a "rad box"
- Skip the pedestal and make a "Switch BOX" that it sits on, with enough room inside for at least 1x MORA3 1260 with 18x 140mm fans + 18x 20mm Phobya shrouds + rubber gaskets between fans-shrouds-radiator (2 sets per side, 3-5mm thick each) + the Watercool HexxMesh Rad Grill that covers the entire side (extended to fit over the 140x52mm fan assemblies); I'd also like to be able to add another 2-3x 5.25" bays and/or 6-12x 3.5"/12-24x 2.5" drive bays and then completely remove all HDD cages from my case to allow for better case airflow; lastly, it'd be designed to hold up to 2x MCP35X2 dual-pumps with their heatsinks and legs attached.

I just don't know how to do the last one and make it look good!

I really envy people like you who can think up something, and then make it. I can do that with cars, but that's about where my ability ends lol.

Haha Cars are fun and I miss having a project car... however I do not miss dumping the amount of money into them as I did in the past. If I had a digital camera when I did the car thing I'd show you some of my past projects. I only have a few remaining pictures and I think I posted them somewhere.

Don't try to rethink it from the ground up. Just imagine something and leap into it, and the rest will follow.

My problem is I rethink the mod midway and it changes the outcome.... Phelan how many times have I changed my mind on stuff? lmao.

Sorry man somebody has to take the blame. biggrin.gif

Oh it's surely a Switch. My thought was I didn't want it to look like every other Switch out there but I also wanted it to be 100% functional. The chassis of this case is pretty easy to work with as its thinner steel. I prefer aluminum so anything I make, is and will be aluminum. I'll gladly take the blame lol. My wife just shakes her head at me when I take mine apart. biggrin.gif

Sorry I haven't had any updates for a while but this is all I got for you guys..

Fully sleeved finally

and a better shot

Hopefully next week I can get the EK waterblocks on my GPU'S and buy another 655/D5 pump for the GPU loop. I will also be making backplates next week and a PSU shroud/midplate.

Thanks for watching!

HAHA absolute highest clock I was able to validate. That voltage is incorrect by the way... it was almost 1.70!!

Wow, still alot of work to be done I guess?
its already look really good!

I would re route the tubing though, not a big fan of cross tubes

Thanks, not really alot to do. backplates will go fast depending on the design but I want to keep it simple. I think the shroud will take more time because I need to clear both pumps and tubing/ wiring/ front rad. I don't like the crossed tubing either but this current "plumbing" is only temporary as I still need more bitspower fittings/ extenders and what not.
I just cant get enough on your custom front panel plate
man... wish I have the skill to make one smile.gif

with the shroud are you going to cover the whole psu+pump+front rad?
if you want it simple why not just cover the psu and a bit of the plug cable and leave the pump and rad uncovered?

love how bold the pump looks, and with just a bit of work to tidy it up
pretty sure it would look great !

well its only going to be a partial shroud because I love the way the pump looks too.. soon there will be two side by side. It will cover the PSU and probably most of the wiring at the bottom but I won't be sure until I really sit down and come up with a plan.
