I came here to learn some more aobut building a custom computer, and it turns out I met an AMAZING community. I got a build set up and ready to order within a day. I also managed to snag a bunch of amazing parts off the marketplace. I can't wait until they arrive

Anyways, it's nice to meet everyone here and I just wanted to say hi.

On a side note, does anyone know how the private message limit works? I've been sending a lot because of the marketplace transactions I've been doing, and I was wondering if it's based off post count, time registered, etc.

Sure haha. This didn't really get covered fully, and I'm still looking things up, but when all my parts come, what tools are REQUIRED to building a custom computer? Also, I heard I shouldn't be building on carpet because of static, but my dorms only have carpet. It's not like home-carpet.. It's more like the kind you find in office buildings that don't really have the furry stuff. It's really short, but is that still okay? Or should I go out and buy a static thing? I don't want to ruin my first computer -.-

all you should need is a screwdriver. also if it is just carpet wear shoes and ground yourself by touching the power supply before assembly
