PSP Problem

ok i wanted to update my psp and it wouldnt update (80020148 unable to start) i tried homebrew firmware, same error but all my umds still work and i cant update it online because my routers security is unsupported. It The PSP 2003 series and right now its running 6.35 and i wanted to maybie put a custom firmware on there for it and its prepared on the memory card, ive tried different firmware downloads aswell, none work... plz help

IDK but try not to update anything higher than 6.60 official firmware.. afaik the highest and best custom firmware is 6.60 (I think it's 6.60 PRO something).

Goodluck..

I also don't suggest a real/permanent CFW.. a "light" custom firmware is safer afaik.. (a light customfirmware is where u just have to rerun a program [under games in xmb] everytime you reboot your PSP.. w/c is rare since most people just put the system on standby)

ive tried it and its the same error so can someone tell me how to fix it

ive ruined nearly every forum and they say that i need to put the psp into recovery mode... there is no recovery mode on mine

ok after digging about even more i fould out i need to downgrade to ofw 6.20 then use another thing to downgrade it to 5.03 for cfw but i cant get the downgrader to work it comes up with the same error (80020148) (heres the link to the downgrader: http://downloads.exophase.com/725/psp-635-and-631-downgrader-to-620/ )
