I just installed my ssd yesterday, today I installed SSD Life and it says it will last 8 years and 8 months lol , I've seen ppl's say 100 years or 10 + years, have I done something wrong ?

8 years 8 months of on time. For most people that's 100+ years. For someone on their computer 24/7, it's less.

I also wouldn't believe those estimates. You will replace the SSD with a larger one before it dies most likely.

Haven't found SSD Life to be particularly transparent in how they compute an SSD's lifetime so I tend not to use it. Mostly, what exactly is the threshold used for calculating the T.E.C. Date? Some SSDs have the endurance rating in TBW (Total Bytes Written) in their specifications so that might be what it uses for some models. Intel SSDs are guaranteed for 20GB writes/day for the life of the warranty so for drives with 5-year warranties, that's 37TB and with 3-year it's 22TB. What about the rest?
