Hey guys so as i have been looking around at many of the watercooling setups i have noticed a trend. Multipal rads. whats the reasoning behind it?

My reasoning is not having rads outside the case, and since i needed 480mm worth of rad space and since my case cannot fit one 480mm rad inside, there was only one answer: two 240mm rads.

Amount of rads, or needed rad space will depend on how much do you plan to connect to your loop, but the golden rule is 120mm of rad space per device on the loop (be it CPU or GPU) + 120mm extra for OCing (if you're going obscene like quad-GPU, 240mm extra may be needed)

yea most cases wont fit over a 240 so mutiple rads to get enugh cooling for everything your going to use even sometimes to just get lower temps tho at a certain point rads stop really helping temps very much.

E-Ping. Very few people need an over abundance of radiators. I for one have a 420x30mm 30FPI rad which is plenty for what I wanted to do at first. But I've decided to buy the pedestal from Dwood for my switch and throw in a 480x80mm Alphacool Monsta rad. Why? Well I could cool down just about anything I could throw in it and it will make my build look better when I'm done. So yes, some people require that much cooling while others it's more of an e-ping or obsession like me.

For me it's a little of both, e-ping and obsessive cooling just because. Hope this helps!

The amount of radiator you need depends on how much you want to cool and how fast you are prepared to run the fans. If you don't have much to cool or are prepared to run the fans fast then you don't need a lot of radiator.

Personally I wanted a nearly silent system, which meant as much radiator as possible so that I could minimise fan speed. That said, technically I do have a single radiator but its a Phobya 1280...
