Problem getting AW9D-MAX over 350 FSB?

Thread Starter
Hi all. I've recently put together a C2D system on a Abit AW9D-MAX, but I'm having difficulting pushing it past 350 FSB.

Currently I'm running the E6600 at 350 x 9 @ 1.275v (stock voltage) with CoreTemp's of 29 idle and 52 load (using a Zalman 9500 cooler). Memory is rated DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1v and I'm running at 1:1. It's rock solid at 350 - runs Prime95 on both cores for hours, but refuses to post with a C1 code (detect memory) when I bump it to 360.

I've tried giving the CPU up to 1.4v but that makes no difference (so I don't think it's CPU related) and the memory would only be running at 360 rather than the 400 it's rated for, so ditto for memory. That only leaves the motherboard... so guess my question is how can I get the FSB to go faster?

Bump up your chipset/ North Bridge voltage one or two steps and that should solve it.

I had to up the voltage on my ram to get my system to post on a FSB higher than 400. Its running at 2.2V right now.

dont expect much from abit if not phase,

to run higher that 400fsb you need insane volage, anyway you are lucky with e6600, is not that bad with the board..

however this is my last abit board ever..
