I dropped my External Harddrive on the floor yesterday. I tested it with HD Tune when I got to work and error scan gave me all green blocks. Although I could easily hear a "clickety click" sound that wasn't there before, atleast not noticibly.
I then tested it when I got to home, and it gave me almost only red squares, few yellow and one or two green ones, but then the test stopped due to an error. The read speed of it was also about 1,3MB/S, where on my work PC it was 30MB/S (work PC connected with USB 2.0, Home PC connected with USB 3.0)
However, when I took it out of its casing but plugged it in using the same Sata to USB adapter, it gave me 110MB/S on USB 3.0, which was what I got Previous days.
I copied what I had on it over to my internal harddrive, but it seems like some has become corrupted.
I guess I would need a new Harddrive now, or what do you think?
