Any reason to upgrade?

I currently have the Creative X-Fi Extreme Music I bought maybe ... 8 years ago or more. It works perfectly and has great sounds. Most of all I like how it mixes stero sound to 2 sets of speakers. I use my gaming headset (usb) for games so I have no need for a card to do anything gaming related.

My question is would there be a reason to get a Xonar or something or just stick with this tried, tested and true X-Fi?

I don't know why I would upgrade I just haven't considered it in so long I thought I would ask you guys what you all think.

Not worth the upgrade with those headphones. If you had some nice 598's or other awesome cans somthing like a xonar essence would be a good step up

Yes well SoundCards are like the super gimmick these days,

I would say run the X-Fi until it dies or gives you tons of problems. I had to stop using mine, because it was touching my GPU, and somehow I could hear my GPU Rev up through my headphones -.-
