But I NEED Pro, but neither Amazon or Newegg ship them internationally. That sucks bigtime. Shame on you Samsung for being so late with the shipments.
Anyone who knows any US shops that have them in stock that ship international? I`m well aware of shipto etc that gives you an us adress so that you can order from newegg etc but too much hassle imo

Using Bongo shipping from Newegg / Amazon it will cost approx $37 / $55 USD to ship the item to Australia

It will cost $40 / $43 USD to ship from Newegg / Amazon to Norway using Bongo.

If you really want to get one its not that much hassle but it will cost you a pretty penny.

Thanks for the advice bro smile.gif

Luckily some US reseller have them listed at Ebay now and allows international shipping. So I just bought one. Can`t wait to try it out.
BTW: 256GB is faster than 128GB and the controller needs free space or you will suffer some performance degradation.
Anandtech advice that one should always keep 20% free for the controller to do its TRIM and garbage collection to ensure right speed.
Just a heads up to everyone smile.gif
Read about it here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6328/samsung-ssd-840-pro-256gb-review/6

If anyone is in the same boat as me and want the SSD shipped to them from US, here is the reseller which sells 256GB. He have over 10 pcs available right now.

A 830 is € 160,- over here and a 840 pro is priced € 240,-. Is it really worth spending that much more for a Pro series, I dont really know.

I was looking at these too on eBay. I believe they are the drives on their own I doubt he has that many codes for the game. Hasn't got back to me yet. I'm thinking is it really a big difference between these and the 830 models.

You won't get it with an OEM drive, only retail drives at specific outlets.

Damn, although I guess that makes sense.

Anyone in Australia looking to get one of these this is the response I got from PCCG:

Hi ********,

While we are definitely intending to stock the new 840 Pro Series of SSDs from Samsung sometime in the very near future, we have not yet been able to secure an ETA from their Australian distributors. As soon as we have been able to finalise pricing and an ETA, we will be able to begin accepting pre-orders through our website.

If you have any further queries in the meantime, please let me know and we’ll do our best to help.

Best regards, ***
