Paracord vs MDPC

So I'm about to start sleeving my system. Only thing really left to do to it at the moment and I'm unsure what route to go. I really like Paracord and the texture / feel of the nylon sleeving but hear it's a bit difficult to work with. Plus it's considerably cheaper.

Then there's MDPC sleeve, the cats meow around here for sleeve. It is a bit pricier sure, but is it that much better? I intend to order my precut heatshrink from him anyway since it comes out to the same price as frozencpu's precut. Is MDPC sleeve kinda plasticy (definitely made that word up) texture wise?

Thanks for the advice, and will certainly appreciate any tips.

Oh, and will be sleeving everything in my computer. Unsure on what I'll be doing for the Sata data cables though, maybe just order MDPC sleeve for them anyway.

Hey dude. I am a big fan of paracord myself. I love the pliability of it and ttytt I prefer the look over MDPC but I have never sleeved with it myself but I did have extensions sleeved with paracord.. I read it was harder to work with and I just want the best of the best so I chose MDPC. I can say it is much more flexible then I had imagined. It looks like it has a stiff plastic feel to it but that is far from reality. I also find it quite easy to work with but I am good with my hands/tools and attention to detail.

For the sata data cables I would definitely order MDPC. Here are the first 2 cables I have ever sleeved. Also I like your theme check out my build log. biggrin.gif I'm black and yellow too but I went with shade 19 for my sleeve to offset the color a bit and match my mobo.

Haha cool, I was worried it looked rather like plastic and stiff. And yeah I remembered badgering you about those Akasa fans a while back. Planning to sleeve black and yellow, but am a little torn between going to Mayhem's Pastel Yellow or Pastel Raspberry Purple. Thinking the Black, yellow and purple may be awesome.

Personally I would go with the pastel yellow. Tri color themes are much harder to pull off then 2 color. I mean you can get components and stuff with all 3 colors but that doesn't mean it will look good from a visual art perspective. Black, yellow and purple would be hard to pull off.

Yeah I spoke about the fans with another fellow yesterday. They are definitely loud as heck at full speed (not whatever they are rated at) but I run mine at 50% and they are damn near silent.
