dosent matter if its "hardly custom" if they special ordered it, then its custom simple.

It's not special ordered, PS3 just used the 7800 GTX's that were too broken to be sold and used in the PC market..... Nvidia basically gave Sony the scraps of bad yields...

Also, Shader is more than 20x. You didn't seem to compare that in your little chart. Its all speculation until we have real proof, so people will continue give their opinion..

You can still work a few things out, if they go with the 7660D+6670 combo then you can forget 1080p nnext generation as the filtrate isn't enough so they'll just be 720p but much better looking.

With the 7660D+7850 you can have 1080p and higher quality graphics as it has the filrate for it, don't forget that 1080p requires twice the fillrate of 720p

You know that's not the case........... the original intent for the RSX was a quick fix when they realized the Cell, while it could crunch numbers like nothing before it, couldn't render and do as much as they originally thought. Even to this day they the way some of the PS3 exclusives look as good as they do is people finding things to offload of the RSX to the cell, use XDR ram better and got used to the screwed up 256/256 ram.

And I never said heavily modded I just said it was modified and that is still a fact, modified for the worse but still.................

The only way this is possible is if they put the Cell and RSX on the motherboard as well as the PS4 chip and specs along side it, but the heat and power output would be crazy. Emulation is completely out of the question. The only way you could is if you recoded a PS3 game from scratch to work on the PS4's rumoured spec sheet. If you're worried about it playing PS3 games, i'm pretty sure that means you have a PS3 already and care about playing them, so just take the PS3 game, put it in the PS3 and play it like normal. Simple.

Considering that were are using A10s which I'm gonna assume a PS4 is a A10-5800k ITX box then its fine. This and the Wii U means that if anything DEV cost should be done since they dont have to spend so long trying to make 512mb work.

Plus the Wii U's graphics are not that much higher then what already out so cost are fine if not better hopefully.

Why? Backwards compatibility is not needed unless you're an extreme cheapskate.

To be honest...I would personally give it more value if it was backwards compatible with PS2 and PS1 games.
