In-Win 850W PCI-E connector question

So I have this power supply I was about to start sleeving .

So I started to strip off some of the factory crappy sleeve.

When I stripped of the PCI-E witch is hard wired into the PSU I found this thing.

What the hell is that and whats it doing?

This is soldered to the middle cable on both sides of the connector? Middle Yellow and Middle Black??

Will I need to re- use this? I want to shorten the cable about 8". 

These are really crappy PCI-E connectors. The first connector has all double wires and this POS tossed in.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I figured it was a capacitor just wasn't sure on the why it was there. Strage the two modular cables that comes with it don't have them.

No chance it's getting used in any of my machines. I'm about to toss the dam thing into the back of the closet. LOL

I'm doing this for a friend as practice before I do my Seasonic 1200 Platinum.

In-Win 850 price payed by friend on sale 80 bucks.

My Seasonic was 250 on sale LOL

Going to try to take my friend to the store and get someing easier to sleeve and more stable. Maybe a CoolerMaster. My 700 Pro only had 1 double wire.

I have a Cooler Master Silent Pro 700W in my sig rig, the Seasonic will go in that. or a new build LOL

I just talked my friend into a Seasonic X-660W Gold.

The In-Win just made the pile in the closet larger. I Stripped the rest of the factory sleeving off and there was a total of 6 capacitors on the hard wired cables. That's just ridiculous.

3 on 24 pin,

1 on each CPU power cable

1 on the default PCI-E conection.

Guesss I'll be stripping the wires and connector of it as thats about all thats worth anything to me.

In-Win = POS Will never buy another one.
