I have a mac which is the only thing I can control my router with. The program that is used to edit the router is called AirPort Utility. I need to port forward port 25565. When I port forward it using my private Ip 10.0.1.X and then I set the Public UDP Ports, Public TCP Ports, Private UDP ports, and Private TCP Port to 25565 then save and update the router. Then when I go to start my server on the port it says port is being used by something else. I don't know what is going on.
