looking for a good high usage tablet choice and I could use some guidance :)

'sup guys,

I know there are loads of opinions to be found from previous threads, but I couldn't really bother throwing myself some tablet knowledge into the face. I'm also quite sure that you guys will give me profound information about this subject ;D.

What I'm going to do with it: Interwebz, planning and contact, media (streams and music) university, g networking is welcome I guess, everyday usage like anyone would use a smartphone for business/not forgetting things/keeping contact.

preferences: clear resolution, 7"-10", 64Gb data mem, 2Gb of RAM (Not sure if needed though..), a sturdy processor that doesn't give up early. Price doesn't really matter, I'll decide later on whether it's worth it or not smile.gif I just want to see what kind of goodies (or badies...) the current (incredibly retarded) market offers kind of late. ~edit: forgot to mention that great battery life would be pretty awesome

I gave tablets a thought because I might be better off with a somewhat bigger screen than you get with a smartphone. If you have any more questions that might brighten your advice, just ask, thanks!

Unlike I stated before, I did start searching some models (didn't look up acceptable specs for this time yet though) since I really need tablet+phone/smartphone in the coming month or so smile.gif. But yeah I kinda agree with you when looking at a couple of reviews that the Nexus 7 is a hands down choice if money is available. I haven't checked on its price yet for my region, but i'm only a click away from knowing that ;p.

i'm still looking around a bit, abotu to check out that 'Surface' and 'Vivo' stuff ;D

~Edit: Surface and Nexus 10 look pretty good to say the least, but they're overpriced for what I'm going to get out of them (noticed that many 10" tablets take the $499 level for granted...). I'll lastly have a look at a few more models, but the final decision will be made when comapring prices of tablet+phone and smartphone smile.gif thanks for the reply

One last remark though, the Nexus 7 only comes in a 32Gb - 1Gb ram model... I really need more ram. Hmmmm

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

The pen is amazing.

I would've recommended you ATIV Smart PC but I think it's more expensive.

Why not get a carried locked tablet and pay monthly?
Here in Sweden we got websites that sell phones and tablets and then you can pick which carrier you want with any tablet you choose. And then pay a monthly fee of about 25-40 euros. Belgium can't be much different.

Hmmm, I don't know why, but I never liked paying my products every month x). But yeah it's still an option. I still believe the tablet market is lacking quality products. Don't get me wrong, there are pretty kewl tablets around, but things like 1Gb of ram and 64Gb secondary memory caps are quite ridiculous. I can easily fill that up..

If you absolutely have to have the RAM, be prepared to spend the $.

That said, this Fry's ad looks like pricing error, but you can try either in store or price matching to another Best Buy (or something).

So I guess that I need to have a Windows Pro tablet or a Galaxy Note 10.1 if I want to have a digitizer on my tablet?

Windows RT would pretty much be perfect with the free Office it comes with, but I want proper stylus support as well....
