[TR] AMD shutters German Linux lab, gives devs the axe

What does this mean for their Linux support? If anything I think AMD should say screw you to MS and turn around and monopolize the Linux market. It would be win win for both but alas it wouldn't happen.

How is that a win for AMD? You're vastly overestimating the Linux userbase. With Windows systems making up more than 90% of desktops, and Linux systems less than 2%, AMD will go from being minor to irrelevant. They certainly cannot survive on that.

And how many AMD desktops are there?

This is sad and I do feel they should put more effort into linux but I can see and understand why they did this.
