Upgrade Itch

Thread Starter
I've had the itch to upgrade my rig for a while now and I'm finally ready to bite the bullet.rolleyes.gifbiggrin.gif
I mainly use my PC for Gaming (Bf3, BL2, Shift2, Crysis, GTA4 and for sure GTA5 Assassin's Creed 3), Light Cad Drawing/ Rendering, Music and Work/School. I've been planning on purchasing a new Monitor, Keyboard, CPU, Mobo, and possibly a PSU?
I will be overclocking CPU, GPU's so i may upgrade my PSU to handle the extra load

Current Rig:
AMD Phenom 2 X4 965 @ 3.9ghz
Asus Crosshair 4 Formula
Dual EVGA GTX 580 1.5gb
Corsair Vengeance 1866mhz Ram 2x4gb
OCZ Vertex 3 60 SSD ( OS )
1tb seagate HDD (storage) Might grab another for backups
Corsair AX850
Modded HAF 932
Cooling:
10 Gentle Typhoon AP-15 Fan's
2 Gentle Typhoon AP-14 Fans
EK Supreme HF CPU Block Copper/Acetal
Dual EK GTX 580 Copper/Acetal GPU Blocks W/ Black Backplates
Bitspower Uber D5 pump W/ Ek Top
XSPC 240mm Rad + Ex360 Rad Push/Pull AP-15's
Lamptron FC9 50w fan controller

Possible Upgrades:
Benq XL2420T Monitor
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=66305&promoid=1224
Intel i5 3570k Quad Core
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70541
Asrock z77 Oc Formula
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=76247&vpn=Z77%20OC%20Formula%2FA%2FASR&manufacture=ASRock

Or an Asus Max V Formula
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=72922&vpn=Maximus%20V%20FORMULA&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1360
Filco Majestouch 2 87 Mech Keyboard
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=70729
Possibly a Corsair HX1050 PSU
http://ncix.com/products/?sku=61487&vpn=CP-9020033-NA&manufacture=Corsair

Total $1407.66 before rebates price matching

Not 100% sure on any of the above component's so any change's, suggestions would be awesome as I've been out of the tech loop for a few months. thumbsupsmiley.png

Couple Questions as well:
Would a 120hz monitor or a 27" 1440p monitor be better for FPS/ Racing Games at max res/quality
Sandy Bridge 2500k or 3570k or wait till next socket from Intel.

everything will be purchased from NCIX Canada as i live around the corner from a store and don't want to pay for any shipping

Going to stick with my Case, GPU's, Ram, HDD, SSD for now

absolute top end of my budget is 1500$ redface.gif
the more i save the happier i am as I'm about to go back to school.
I'm Open to any and all suggestion's so let's hear them !

Go 3570k, with the asRock mobo and a 1440 monitor. Also keep everything you have including the PSU (no need to upgrade anything else).
