BSOD and Application Error in Civ 5 (i5-3570K @ 4.4Ghz)

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
I was getting a STOP 0x124 BSOD with my i5-3570K @ 4.4Ghz even though prime95 didn't pick up anything on 12hr stress test so I adjusted offset to allow a bit more peak Vcore and this has solved the BSOD. However now I'm getting a Windows application error 1000. The error details in Event Viewer are pasted below.

It has to be CPU related as it's only during CPU intensive sections when it throws the error. It also is solved if I reduce CPU ratio down to 4.2Ghz or similar.

Error 07/11/2012 22:06:01 Application Error 1000 (100)

Could any give any help on this?

0x124 = increase/decrease vcore or QPI/VTT
