Just got a new Crucial 128GB M4 SSD, now what? - Page 2

You can use SteamMover to keep your steam install on OCZ but have games stored on the Crucial

http://www.traynier.com/software/steammover

If you want to use Crucial for OS drive, it is very easy to use a program like Macrium Reflect to create a backup disk image of the OS drive and then restore it to the M4.

I would use the crucial M4 as OS drive and then either use the OCZ as "fast storage" or move it to your laptop.

I recently bought a Samsung 830 128Gb SSD, use that for my OS and other programs that don't use much space and run constantly. My old WD VelociRaptor 140GB just has steam on it, while a 320gb HDD 7.2k is for programs I use maybe once a day. A 2TB External Fantom Drive is connected to my CISCO E4200 router for network storage for pics and such, It's very helpful with laptops that the wife and I also have.

Or, switch to the Steam Beta and you get to choose where you want to install Games. Although to my knowledge, Valve games have to be in the main directory. But everything else you can set up different "Libraries" to install to. Personally I'd go that route.

My steam folder is 492gb with a few mods and with out several of the games installed and my "programs" (non steam games) folder is 531gb.
