GFWL GTA 4 scam ? - Page 2

I had this exact problem not only with GTA IV but with a few GFWL games. I had to call Microsoft and had to provide picture proof of my copy of the game. It was a complete PITA and the whole ordeal is absolutely ridiculous.

Same thing happened with Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II. It wasn't worth going through the trouble again.

It took almost two weeks for Microsoft to finish up my ticket and.provide me a new key.

FYI, all GFWL keys have limited installs (I'd guess 10 installs). Funny thing is, any GFWL key will work for any GFWL title. Stupid right?

I heard you can use XLiveless to get around that. If you have a fake account then you won't be able to save your game. I'm not really sure how to use XLiveless because I have never used it, but do know you can use it to save you games without needing GFWL

You would have to contact Valve or Microsoft.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled EFLC at least 50 times on multiple OS installs. I don't think this is the problem, I think the problem is GFWL is terrible.

Heres a little tidbit of info.
When you are forced to sign in to gfwl, make a new account and scroll down theres this obscure little blue link like text at the bottom that you can click to make a local profile.
What I find strange is GFWL is suppose to be a DRM and its bad at that too, you can play without signing in on most games. doh.gif
