Virus detected on laptop, Microsoft security essentials is useless. What can I do?

Hey guys

My parents recently caught a virus, they say its probably my sister. Microsoft security essentials detected many dangerous threat. One is called huiq.exe. But the problem is MSE detects them but it cannot remove them.

I never dealt that much with virusees before. Can you propose me something, a software, to remove those annoying viruses?

You think it will erase the threat better than Microsoft Secutiryt essentials?

I thought that MSE software was good.

If malwarebytes doesn't get rid of your problem then grab http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/eek/ . Update the definitions, then run a deep scan. Should clear you right up

Turn off your computer, Turn it on and boot into safe mode with networking , Run Rkill and then install Malwarebytes , Run update and run quick scan ( this is important) quick scan only. Then remove anything that it found. If MalwareByte ask you to reboot then do that. Otherwise reboot and then boot into normal windows. Download HitmanPro 32bit or 64bit( depend on your system) and then Run Normal Scan with Hitman Pro. After that remove with Trial Activation. I would install (run) HitmanPro on the flash drive that way you can use it again after 30days by switching the USB. If you install on your computer than only 1 time deal, you can't use it again after 30 days.
When you finish with all that double check with SuperAntiSpyware. Here are all the links. Download all of them to flash drive and process to your mom computer. Uninstall All these tools after use. Malwarebytes is GOOD to keep.

Hey Dude,

I'm a PC Tech by trade and I've had to deal with many viruses. Sometimes, if you have AVG or anything else installed already you can remove the virus. But if the computer is already infected then you might not be able to install the Anti-Virus because the virus blocks the install.

You can get around this though, what i usually do is remove the HDD from the laptop and put it into a Hard Drive Caddy. Once you've done that, get another PC and install AVG Free (Preferebly a PC you don't care about). Then once AVG is installed boot up the PC into Safe Mode, it's very important that you boot into safe mode otherwise you'll most likely infect the other PC. Then connect the Hard Drive Caddy to the PC booted into safe mode, and run a full scan. That should remove the virus.
