setting memory to 1866?

Hi there, I have a ga-z77x-up4 th mobo and 8Gx2 GSKILL F3-1866C10D-16GAB R that defaults to 1333 in the bios. I am trying to set it to 1866 but i dont really know how. the xmp profile doesnt seem to help out with that.

Make sure you placed your RAM in the correct slots. If you chose XMP and enter the stock speed, timings and volts of the RAM and the mobo refuses to accept these, then the mobo is defective.

i see, so after selecting xmp i also manualy enter the numbers listed on the ram? ill try that.
