[Engadget] Nintendo Wii U vs. Nintendo Wii ... fight! - Page 3

I will grab one when the price drops for the. Nintendo exclusives. Nintendo is the only company that makes games that would make me want a console at all.

Sheesh, who cares what it looks like unless it's too big or something.

That said, I was it had a matte finish. Iwata wore gloves because he didn't want to get fingerprints on it.

Hmm, the Wii U looks cheap and ugly to me... like a VCR player or something.

Not that it matters, the controller carries the personality as with the Wii, but still surprising to me.

I think it's pretty slick. I'm not worried about its length since my entertainment center's shelf is pretty deep. I'll only really see the face of the console, which looks fine to me.

Won't be able to pick one up at launch, but hopefully before Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101 and Bayonetta 2.

the glossy black makes it look cheap

should have gone with matte finish and also should have gone with sharper edges/angles instead of the rounded look.

It's not a bad looking box but just by looking at the plastic quality you can tell it's made cheaply.
Oh christ people WHO CARES WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE. Do you place your consoles on pedestals in the center of your rooms or something? It's still small and rectangular and comes in black or white, you place it beside your giant TV setups and forget it even exists most of the time.

It's what it DOES, how it handles/controls, the games that will be released for it, how Nintendo handles third-party support, etc etc, that should be the main concern on people's minds.
