If you really want 3 cards, It would be a good idea for looking into the 2011 socket, but you will not really be able to fit it into your budget unless you only want a 3820, I personally would not get anything less than a 3930k if I was going 2011 socket. Are you located near a microcenter?

Thanks for the suggestion but there's no way I'd buy anything above 3820. I'll be deciding later this week on what to buy. I'm leaning towards asrock z77s that will allow me to dual fire 7970s for three monitors. One game I'm absolutely going to play, is ArmA III. Kind of hard estimating what system to build when the game's not out. I'll be buying exclusively from newegg.

Thanks for the suggestions, I still haven't decided.

If you are only going with a 3820, you might as well get a 3770k instead. Or just wait till Haswell
